Bliss is a warm and inviting place. Do not let anomalous 1-stars deter you: I have never once had a bad experience in three years of school and regular visits. I guarantee if you are in a rush, have a special request, concern, or situation, need something set aside, or ANYTHING-if you voice that respectfully the owners will work with you. This is their bread and butter, they certainly would not intentionally try to burn you. It is important to not intentionally ascribe malice or carelessness when your needs are not immediately met. I think many fail to understand the pressures small local booksellers are under, whether searching for employment or service. Bliss is creative in the ways they remain viable to serve the Stillwater community. I think many demand immediate and specific results from a small local bookseller, as if they were going to a chain or Walmart with a self-checkout kiosk, or amazon, but do not think to simply ask questions, develop a relationship, and connect to get what is needed.

Attended a meeting here today & loved the beautiful space! Great ambience, selection, & such friendly service! Roger is a delight & his pups (Clyde & Lizzy) kept me feeling safe & welcome. Will definitely be back the next time I’m in Stillwater!

Great little bookstore. Lots of hidden gems. Staff was super helpful and friendly. 2 friendly dogs that greet you when you walk in makes it even better!

I really want to go back! I was only able to visit once but I loved it. They had a great selection of new and used books. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Amazing staff! Very kind, helpful and inclusive! They can find and order books for you, and they often have fun events, and a table dedicated to monthly "spotlight" for authors and books of different perspectives like disability, BIPOC, queer identities, etc. Absolutely love this place! Plus, the very friendly doggos they have around are absolute sweethearts.

We love tracking down bookstores during our travels, so of course we sought out a bookstore on our day trip to Stillwater, from Ponca City visiting family. Bliss Books had a lovely selection of all the current and trending books. They let you choose a free ARC book with purchase! Support independent bookstores if you can!
